AUCKLAND March 11. The desirability of introducing into New Zealand a desirable type of farm worker was emphasised by Afr Percy Snrgood. of Dunedin, who returned by the Manuka yesterday, after a visit to England and the Continent. Afr Snrgood said a nation was being built up in New Zealand and it was no use as far as immigrants were concerned depending solely on farm labourers and domestic servants. Speaking generally. the vocational training scheme for prospective emigrants tunow being organised m Englaml hv which likelv men were to he placed on trial farms, where the conditions were equivalent to those on New Zealand farms.
