The procedure was not so simple. Quality was the first essential, and nothing hut iirst grade eggs should be sent, WATERS IDERS SCHEME. WELLINGTON, March 8 This morning a scheme whereby a definite number of men can he secured an assurance of more permanent engagement throughout the year on the wharves was put into operation here. The new scheme embraces 900 men, which number is estimated suHicient to do the work of the port. To-day work was slack and only 2o() were engaged. The scheme is the result of representations made by Roberts (Secretary of the Watersiders Federation) to the Arbitration Court. CONGREGATIONAL UNION.
