TURKISH DECISION
LAUSANNE TREATY REJECTED. AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, March 8. Official—The Angora Assembly by a large majority rejected the Lausanne Treaty, demanding a Mosul Settlement within a fixed period, full safeguards for Turkey’s vital rights, independence in financial and economic administrnfive domains ; immediate evacuation of « occupied Turkish territories upon signature of peace. The Assembly voted confidence in the Government and authorised it to continue peace negotiations. The decision which cuts, out ail wor j done at Lausanne, and demands ne<T negotiations, based on further concessions was reached after a final-lieated debate which lasted twelve hours.
