( IIT TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION] AUCKLAND, March 5 At a conference of the Liberals at To Arohn, Sir Joseph Ward was asked to contest the Tnuranga seat, lie intimated that he would give a definite decision regarding his candidature for Tauraiiga seat to-morrow, ft he secured their loyal support, as promised, he had very little doubt the seat would again lie Liberal. Mr Wilford, Leader of the Opposition. stated to-night that he had been advised regarding the meeting of delegates of the Liberal-Labour party al To Aroli.a to-night. The meeting which considered aspirants to the post of the party’s candidate for Tnuranga seat, was thoroughly representative, and was presided over by Mr It. -I. King, who had been mentioned as a likely candidate. The delelmtes unanimously and eitlliusiastieallv declared in favour of Sir Joseph Ward as tho official candidate ot the party. Sir Joseph Ward was then waited on. He expressed gratitude for their good wishes and their unanimous resolution and lie promised to give his answer to-morrow ( 1 uesday) afternoon. SI1!
