EARTHQFAKE PAXI C. POME. Jan. J. liome to-day felt the shock of an earthquake. which is believed to have tieen of great violence in the Ahruzzi. The shock here was so slight that, many did not realise that anything was amiss. It is impossible to obtain detailed reports from the Ahruzzi owing to interruption of communications. Repot t-, front the neighbourhood of Avczzano and C’api'trello state that the damage there was confined to falling chimneystacks. hut the population, remeniherin<r the 1915 earthquake, which, began viTh a slight shock and ended by terrific- destruction, fled in panic.
