THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.
Son vi- Evils.
Most I toys gained their knowledge of sex at school. A very small minority received it from their parents. The lads went out into the world where the voice of tile devil was more insistent than the voice of God. The knowledge was gained haphazard and in this way much mischief was wrought.
The flower show at the Town Hull next Thursday (instead of Wednesday
—as previously announced---to avoid clashing with the Kokatahi fair) promises to be a- very attractive event. Air A. B. Boyd, will organise a lino display of cut blooms, including very fine shows of dahlias and asters. The ladies will join in making the gathering a. success financially by the sale of home-made cooking and providing afternoon lea and evening refresh-
ments. At night there will he a promenade concert whereat a pleasing programme will lie rendered by local performers and some visiting vocalists. The object of the gathing is to raise additional funds for the Robert Burns Memorial Fund, for which an additional £75 remains to lie raised.
