A letter tins read from the Director General, Department of Agriculture. on the question of appointing ; i Member to the Hoard of Agriculture for the Marlhorongh-Xelson-Westland district. The regulation- governing llm procedure of election woie read by the President. Correspondence was also received from Mr J. A. Ha.veock “President of the Marlborough - Nelson - Westland “'Metropolitan Society”, relative to sending a delegate to a meeting of llm of the above Society to be held at Nelson on 27th. March, for the pur- ! pose of selecting a Member for the. Board of Agriculture. Mr Bernard Ward of Arahura, and Air IT. Norman of Blenheim were imin- j inated for tile position of Member of j Board of Agriculture, and Mr J. Fleni- i iug as delegate to the conference ,t. Nelson. A letter was received from the t’nion s.s. Company, regretting they could not give a donation to the funds of the Association as they lincl already subscribed to their own Association. The Minister of .Agriculture advised, ! stating that, due regard would ho given • to the request to include stoats and weasels in the classification of vermin for the Westland District. ■Resolved that Mr If. R. B. Wats n be asked to judge the Cuttle Classes. Mr C. X. Neville was unpointed Judge j of the Horse Sections. Mr H. A\ . K**t- j tie to In* asked to judge the Farm! and Dairy Produce. M If. R. Perry, was unpointed Judge of Re!icol Competition Cbr-s--Messrs McGregor. Holland and Thompson wore a ('pointed judges of the Sporting Competitions. A letter was received from the Tutor- Wanganui Dairy Factory forvuirdj„g £1 Is for best dairy bull at the forthcoming Show. It was agreed that Aliis be given as a Special Prize for the best full in the Dairy Class. Mr W. H. Kitcliinghnm. President of fbe AVcst: Coast A. P. and T. Association wrote thanking the Association for letter of appreciation forwarded. The Secretary was authorised to issue permits for side Shows and rights of games, the minimum charge to lie £l. ATr George Davidson was elected a Member of the Association. The outward and inwuul correspondence was then approved and the meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the Chair.
