The King’s Proctor has intervened in a strange divorce case, wherein a m lioi.lma.ster named George I-a lit sber rv et,lined a decree nisi in 1921, the correspondent being Francis Hamilton, an ex-priest. The Proctor now alleges ■. that the husband connived at the wife’s misconduct with Hamilton, and that at an inerview between the three, the question was raised who would have the woman, and she chose Hamilton. The husband ultimately persuaded the wife to ask Hamilton to come to their homo in Manchester, and live, with her. Hamilton sobeyed. Mrs Lantsberry gave evidence that when Father Hamilton came to the house, the husband greeted him with: “Well Frank, you have come to take my place,” and she declared that she was hut a child when the incident occurred. The hearing was adjourned.

GERMAN BARQUE WRECKED. (Received this day at 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, Feb 10. The German barque, Adelie 1 innen, making her maiden voyage from Bremen to Barry, was wrecked off the Lizard. The lifeboat was unable to reach the ship for some time, when it did the mountainous seas, almost washed the life boat on to the barque’s deck. Twenty men were rescued by the rocket apparatus. The captain and four officers, unable to reach the rock. .■ lashed themselves to the rigging all »» night. When the wind moderated at daybreak they wore rescued.
