Sir. —At a meeting of the Hospital Board bold at Hokitika on December ilth., a letter was read from me .M----dressed to the •‘Chairman’’ complaining of the Board’s action in leaving .-math Westland without a. Nuisc for -oino indefinite period pending the erection of a cottage at \\ aiho. A statement was then made to the elicit that I had written another letter approving of the Board s action. (The action here referred to was the subject of my complaint in my to the Chairman, as mentioned above).
This statement was contrary to la i. as I did not approve ol the Board s action. 1 was particularly interested m the appointment of n Nurse, as two members of our family had to he taken to Hokitika for medical attentc n which would have been averted if a Nurse had been appointed Vety reluctantly 1 have resorted to the pres* by way of public explan Won. but with p-rsistent imputations of inconsistency levelled at me.
