AUCKLAND, Feb 9. A ease said to bo unique •<> New Zealand law annals, was heard by Mr Gotten. S.M.. in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, when an affiliation order was sought by a young married woman against Kongipotiri Marunmni, described as a first-grade licenced interpreter, who did not appear. Thu husband stated: "ft was no good to him." as the cheque had proved to be valueless. 1 The two men then spent the remainder of the night in conversation m the kitchen, the complainant passing the time crying in bed. The husband thru resumed his former relationship with his wife. In May, 1921. a child was born, which was an obvious half-caste. \ft or complainant had given evidence on the lines of counsel's statement, the Magistrate adjourned the case for a. fortnight, to allow the husband to be notified of the proceedings.
