WASHINGTON, Feh. 9 The administration plans for British debt funding legislation from the Senate Finance Committee struck a- sna p when Senators Lai'ollette and M alsh demanded full hearings on the bill. Representative Burton, a member <4 the American Debt Commission, testifying before the V. ays and .Means Committee of the Mouse, predicted that the full payment of Britain s debt will he made in a little more than ten years. Mr Burton said he based his prediction on a belie! that Britain r,ill make an effort to tsfke advantage ot the lower rate of interest during the first ten years of the funding period. The committee reported favourably on the Bill, and the Mouse agreed to take it up to-morrow. The Administration leaders hope for its passage >y evening.
