Commander Frank Wild, the explorer, who took command of the Quest, the filiaekleton-Rowett Antarctic ex]>e(iitioii ship, after the death of Sir Fi nest Slmckletini, has been married by special license at Reading Register Office. His bride is Mrs Granville Altman, widow of a Borneo tea planter. Mrs Altman's husband died in Vladivostoek, on the Pacific coast of Siberia, during the war. Cnahle to get home hy sen. Mrs Altman trekked from Vladivostok across Siberia and Russia, about 3,000 miles, to Archangel, where there was a number of refugees. She was met there Gy a party of which Commander Wild was a member, and he assisted her to get out of Russia. Later he met her again in London.
