Miss Euckman is distinguished in song, ami it. was no small compliment to the tow n to have so notable an artist here for the brief season. Miss: Burkinan is a New Zealander which fact occasioned added pride a.s the artist went front triumph to triumph on Saturday night. Associated with the great artist is Mr Maurice D'Oisley. the eminent English tenor, anti what a Liappy rombinalion of blending of voices it was. The two artists have a most graceful delivery combined with a charming manner, and a most impressive, singe presence. Their every number was u delight - rendered as each was with true attention to detail and atmosphere, and always winning pronounced applause. While the audience was hearty and enliusiastie in its appreciation to the point of marked demonstration, it was restrain: d and often spared the performers just when more would have been acceptable; and the artists sang with, such ea ; -.v grave and freedom that we are sure more would not have been h'.'gruded. had the applause been more insistent.
Miss Rosina Uuekninn opened with the operatic gem "One line Day from “Madame Betterlly."
