District Having Committee
The Greyinonth District Racing Cotnmittee met fast evening. Present: Messrs Coates (Chairman), Kettle, Behan. Parfitt, AValton, Gilbert, Perotti and Evans. The meeting was a special one to consider the protest of tlio Westland Club to the' Racing Conference against Kumara Club again racing at Omoto. Messrs Ford. Burger, and ATiilviluil, representatives of the Kumara Club and Mr C. H. Gorton. Deputy Stipendiary Stetvnrd wore also present.
The Chairman invited Air Evans to state the position taken up hy the Westland Chili.

Club will race on its own course. ATr Behan seconded tlie motion which was supported by the Chairman and carried. Afr Gilbert moved that tlie Racing Conference lie informed that the District Committee considered the Kunmrn Club had done its best to carry out the previous conditions laid down Air Peiotti seconded. Carried. With regard to the proposed future expenditure of £4OO or £SOO on buildings. it was made clear if the money were not available from the profits of tlie forthcoming meeting, that the amount necessary for urgent attention to works would be raised locally. The Kumara Club was Invited to submit its'Easter programme as'soon as possible for approval. The District meeting then approved the Westport programme for March at £10750. and the Reefton programme of £7OO for Easter, the Chairman congratulating Roelton on adding a lmr-
die event. The transfer of W. V. Oliver's apprenticeship was approved, and his license recoin mended for approval.
