I .—That the Conference learns with satisfaction of the contemplated proposal to establish a central dairy plant in Hokitika., realising that the convenience of such a factory will add greatly to the output of dairy products, and that the business people of the south and district lie urged to give the project the fullest commercial and monetary support possible with a view to the speediest realisation of the scheme. 2.- That the Conference learns with pleasure and gratification of the enterprise of the South Westland settlors to assist themselves bv securing a boat to render improved service to the settlements, and that the project be supported by all willing to help in the desire to see the remoter parts oi South Westland brought into close.! touch with tiie available markets for pastoral and dairying products. ... That the Conference suggests to the Borough Council to consider wayand means for asphalting a considerable section of Revell Street, _ therein improving the road for trallie. am! minimising the dust and other uuisanotn arising from the present state oi the principal thoroughfare.
