A meeting of the ’Westland A. and I‘. Association was held in the County Cun inkers oil the 19th., there being a good attendance. The meeting was very enthusiastic and a volume of business was put through in a short time. Present—Jas. Fleming (President). I). Jelly (vice-president), J. Dimmick, .J. Monk, J. Minehan, AY. The following members were proposed: E. Adams, A. R. Elcoek, S. Fold, J. King. L. K. Langeson, J. W. Morris A. D. McGuvuck, J. Niven, P. H. B. Olsen. F. Orr, J. 8. Straw-bridge, W. H. I rquliait, F. H. Williams. AV. Shannon.
Mossis Xeigler ami Co., and WJ. Zeigler wrote tendering their resignation as members of the Association. It was decided to hold the Annual Show on the 14th. Maroll, and that the Mayor be asked to declare a whole holiday on that date. It was agreed that in the Stock Classes, Coast lived exhibits be such as are bred in the counties of AVestland, Grey. Inangalnia, Duller and Murchison.
A. number of offers of donations of cash and trophies were received, the Secretary was instructed to write and thank donors.
The scheduled list of prizes was placed before the meeting, fully discussed and with a few alterations adopted.
The printing of the schedule is to lie hold over until 2nd. February, it being desirous that a complete list of special and other donation prizes be included.
