Considerable annoyance and uneasiness has been caused for several nights at Morrinsville through an individual knocking up residents in the early hours of the morning, and giving an account of a sister who was said to lie dying. This was preliminary to a request lor a little whisky or brandy. In I'oiiiieetion with the matter, a man giving his name at Claken, was arrested and brought before, the Police Court, when lie was sentenced by Mi C, M. Hummer, J.P., to a month’s j imprisonment on a charge of vagrancy.
