Cecil Hadficld, who is now awaiting svi]fence for burglary, was convicted and fined £5 for being in unlawful possession of a revolver. The ratepayers yesterday carried a loan proposal for £90,000 for further electrical development, by 441 votes to 45. The present and prospective profits are sufficient to meet charges on tho new loan, without additional rating.
