AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CAULK ASSOCIATION. CAMBRIDGE BEAT OXFORD. LONDON, December. 12. The forty-seventh inter-’Varsity Rugby match at Twickenham unexpectedly resulted in the defeat of Oxford by 21 points to 8. The King and tho Duke of'' York were present at tho match, which was clean and fast. Cambridge won by virtue of superior tackling and magnificent dribbing work by Evans and Hamilton Wickes ns right wing three-quarters. The Australasians in Oxford team all played splendidly and thoroughly justified their inclusion. Lawson as full-back tackled well, and his kickng was sure and long. Aitken and AYallace the respective wing three-quarters, were fast, and always too kthe ball cleanly. Bettington just failed to convert Oxford’s only try in the first half. Lawson converted an Oxford try in the second half.
