A Faulty System. I To dump overseas immigrants into a Dominion struggling with a domestic problem of unemployment is worse than thoughtless. This country, rightly and sensibly governed, can sustain a much larger population than it at present carries, and it can improve the general prosperity’ oi the country by gaining additional population. But a Government which disregards economic ( factors and leaves everything to chance lays itself open to rebuke. New Zea- . land must seriously consider the matte! of inter-imperial migration. His AVorship after half an hour’s consideration non-suited plaintiff, on the grounds that the necessary legal notice to quit had not been served on the. defendant. Costs amounting to £2 2s were allowed the solicitor for defendant.
