The Supreme Court has commenced the hearing of the claim by Doctor Thompson against the New South Wales branch of the British Medicai Association, for £SOOO damages on the ground of alleged defalcation. Iho proceedings are the sequel to r Thompson’s expulsion from membership of the Association which followed his connection with the case of Mrs Farr. WIND UP OF 15.A.W.R.A MELBOURNE, Nov. 7. Over eight hundred shareholders in Jl A W.R.A. nttended a meeting to consider a proposal by Sir John Hiss™* that the organisation he extended toi handling primary products. Doctor Eater moved an amendment that the Association be wound up. The amendment was corricd by six hundred to twenty. QUEENSLAND COTTON. BRISBANE, Dec. 7. Premier Theodore announced that the Government will advance threepence a. pound on Ratoon cotton and will store crops for growers until a market is found.
