adjincton stook market. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHUDCH, This Day. tuessrs IT. Matson and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday: Store Sheep.—There was a small yarding; and all classes of sheep sold well. Best shorn wethers up to 28s 9d, others 22s to 265; best ewes and lambs (in the wool) up to 265, others fiom 20s to 22s 6d; best shorn ewes and lambs up to 20s Od, others from 16s to 18s 6d. No breeding ewes were offering. Porkers—There was a medium ontiy, and prices were firmer than last week’s rates. Light porkers 38s to 435, heavy to 50s, average price GJd to 7d, Baconcrs—An average yarding and the demand was not keen*. Light haveners £2 12s to £3, heavy £3 3s to £3 Bs, average price lor light baeoners 5d to 5Jd, heavy 4}d to od. Choppers—
30s to £3. Store pigs—A -Medium entry and prices for small woanors were easier, better stores selling at good prices. AVeaners—l3s to 16s. Good stores to 255; small stores 18s to 265; medium 28s to 335; large stores up to 40s.
Store Cattle—The entiy was hardly as large as last week, and the quality general indifferent. Nothing outstanding was yarded. Syr. old steels £4 os to £5 10s, 2 year ditto £2 to £3 ]os. A’earlings and 18 months ditto 20s to 355. Not many heifers were yarded. 18-months heifers from 35s to 50s, others from 15s to 255. Cows were the same as usual. There was a good enquiry for* any well grown fo; ward condition steers .
Mutton—There was a comparatively small yarding, including some very excellent quality. The market opened considerably firmer than last week
lint eased somewhat as it progressed and finished up about the same as last week’s average. Prime shorn wethers 30s to 38s fid. extra to 42s Od; medium 27s to 30s 6d; light down to 23s (id; ewes about the same proportion. Lambs were firmer in a small yarding ns the factories are opening next Tuesday.
Beef—Medium yarding, about 360 being yarded, the quality very irregular. 'file market generally is easier. Well finished handy weight steers and heifers showed little difference, hut the decline was must apparent in heavy bullocks and cows. A’cry few outstanding lines of cattle were entered. Prime' bullocks £lO 10s to £l3, extra to £ls 10s. medium £7 10s to £lO ss: prime heifers £6 to £8 10s; extra to £10; cows, best £5 5s to £7, extra to £B. others down to £2 10s.
