BLACKBALL MINERS.
EMPLOYED. ELSEWHERE. A conference took place at Blackball yesterday regarding the re-absorp-tion of the unemployed Blackball miners. As a result of the conference it is believed a -.satisfactory arrangement was completed. On behalf of his Department. Air Ivimbell guaranteed all the married men who are not absorbed at Roa, employment at the Stata Mines. A guarantee was also given that when the Blackball’mine resumes in the sealed-off portions, all the old hands will ho eligible for employment. For the single men eo-e]>oration contra to work on reads in the district will be provided. This will be put ill hand ns .soon sis mra-ngements con lx* completed. One such work, that of the Roa road, will absorb 15 men for two months. So Tar 30 Blackball miners have started work at the- State Mines, and *2O at Ron. - As a result of tho l nion s ropre.scntation, the list of those who are to he started immediately at Blackball was somewhat revised. The proposals were submitted to the Union Bv its delegates, and were accepted by the men as- fairly satislaetory. _____
