The speakers were of opinion that the lack of progress was duo to the machinations of the British, and dwelt on the necessity of Ismet maintaining a bold, unwavering front, because the present was a unique opportunity for securing Turkey’s complete independence, but they were of opinion that in the event of a rupture Turkey was ready for all eventualities, and she would repudiate the responsibility which would devolve on the British.
