POLLARD’S PICTURES. “SOX OF WALLINGFORD” TO-NIGHT. Heralded as one of the season’s lag attractions “The Son of Wallingford” heads the hill at the Princess Theatre to-night. A story of human interest an dspoctaeular scenes the latest of the “ Get-rieh-Quick-Wallingford ” series made popular by Mr and Mrs George Randolph Chester. Jt presents the son of J. Rufus as the hero, and he is surely a ‘"'chip of the old block.” However, he has pangs of conscience for he tries to make a fortune honestly and at the same time prevent his father from carrying out a scheme of crookedness. Wallingford, internationally famous, stages out a big pageant to launch a fake building boom in the town where his son is drilling for oil and the heart of the girl. One of the most exciting scenes ever filmed shows the hero and the heroine in a boat on a lake of burning oil from which escape seems impossible. A wonderful picture. That is the opinion of - ” those who have seen “The Son of Wallingford." This is in intensely human story of n youth who tried to make a fortune honestly and at the same time prevent his father from carrying out a scheme ol crookedness. It is the latest of the “Get-Rieh-Quick-Wallingford” series by George Randolph Chester whose famous stago play is a household word. The story is interpreted bv a big special cast beaded bv Wilfrid North.
