POLITICAL.
-MR SEDDON IX NORTH WESTLAND. Yesterday, despite the unfavourable weather which prevailed, Mr Seddon was able to visit Rutherglen and Marsden, during the day and met many of the people, receiving generally a very cordial welcome. At night he had a particularly well attended meeting at Paroa, folk coming from South Beach and alsewhere, notwithstanding the rain. It was the largest local meeting of the series held by the candidales at Paroa. Mr H. C. Sumner was in the chair, ably presiding over the crowded attendance for which extra seating had to he provided. The address by Mr Seddon was splendidly received and no questions being forthcoming. Mr L. Doherty moved a vote of thanks and confidence which was seconded by .Air T. G. Hayden and carried unanimously.
air lyxch’s campaign. At Rotomanu Public Hall last night Mr J. D. Lynch (West Coast Progressive candidate) gave an address on -similar lines to his previous ones. Mr A. J. Palmer occupied tho chair and tho usual vote of thanks was carried unanimously. ATr Lynch spoke at To Kinga at midday to-day and speaks ai Ruru, Aloana and Kot-uku this eveiv'ng.
