AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. GABLE ASSOCIATION. [Received this tiny at 11.30 a.m.) LAUSANNE, Xov. 29 Ismet Pasha, addressing the financial Economic Commission, expressed astonishment that tlie Allies should demand from Turkey payment for the cost of occupation of Constantinople. Turkey regarded the occupation as a measure of violence 'demanding compensation, not payments. Venizelos, contesting Ismet s demand for a. division of the Ottoman debt, declared Ottoman- loans had not been used in the provinces which became Greek. Turkey was alone responsible for the Greec-o-Turkish war and had no moral asis for her demand for an indemnity. Rarrcre, for the Allies, was of opinion that Albania ought to take a share of the Ottoman debt. ATHENS, Nov. 29. Lindley, British Minister, has gone to Lausanne to see Lord Curzoii.
