F. .Massey, Prime Minister will deliver a political address at the Princess Theatre to-mor-row' evening at 6.30 o’clock. The Mayor will preside. The social tendered to Mr Seddon at Mori Ha.ri last night was quite one of the events of the season. It was agreat success from every point of view, and all passed a very enjoyable time. The music was supplied by Misses Diodirchs and Adamson, and .Messrs Ford and Hockington. Mr Seddon thanked the Committee for their kindness in organising so pleasant a. function. and congratulated them on the splendid success. He also expressed regret that All’s Seddon, through indisposition. couhl not he present, and very kind wishtn were expressed by many friends present for All's Soddon’s early recovery.

A very pleasant function was held at .Mclntosh’s Club rooms last evening when the fiiends of Air J. Cleary assembled to bid farewell and make him a presentation ill appreciation of his services as a citizen during his short stay in town. Numerous speeches were made testifying to the integr.tv of Mr Cleary, touched with feeling of regret at his departure. During their residence in the town Air and All's Cleary have made many friends who, while regretting their loss to the district are pleased to know that their transfer moans promotion. Air Cleary was the recipient of a. well-filled wallet.
