SEAMEN’S STRIKE.

It was freely rumoured here this morning that the officers on most of the vessels had signified their intention of giving notice to sign off. Probably this would be on account of. the suspension of the Shipping and Seamens Act. No official confirmation of such ac- . tion. however, has been received by - the representatives of tbe shipping companies. UNION CREW ON WAIHEMO. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 27. The Wailiemo, with a Union crew, arrived at Lyttelton this morning from New Plymouth. With the exception of three, she has an Australian crew on board. It is not anticipated that any of the men will sign off. THE MAORI RESUMING. WELLINGTON, November 27. There is nothing fresh to report in tlie shipping trouble to-night. Many vessels are coming and going. The Maori is to be recommissioned to take ■?■■■ up the Lyttelton running.
