Nov. 23. - Mr Roberts, President of tile Watersiders’ Federation, lias issued a state ment denouncing the judgment of the Arbitration Court which lie calls a sentence. Regarding the neti- preference clause, he says the Court has given the union its death blow . for it has definitely sL-ited i'-e amount payable per annum shall not exceed £l, or l’-d per week. This means the Unions cannot carry on. Tl'-cy must either forego their preference clause or dissolve 11-c Unions.
