AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. LONDON. November 21. Mr J. R. Clynes was appointed Dc-putv-Lender of'the Labour Party, and Air A. Henderson Chief IVhip, pending his finding a seat. ' The voting for the leadership resulted : —MacDonald Cl, Clynes 56. When the House reassembled for the swearing-in, Mr Ramsay MacDonald took a seat in the . front Opposition benches. , A LUNCHEON. Received this day at 12.25 p.nO LONDON, November 22. Sir Donald MnoT/san was given a luncheon by the National Liberal Chib. He said what all welcomed most was the downfall of the Coalition. Public and private life was. all the cleaner and brighter for it. There was not a Foreign Office in the world that was not glad the Coalition had gone. It was a good thing for public life that to-day the Government had a working majority.
