BRITISH & FOREIGN ITEMS.

AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. CHINESE BANDITS. MURDEROUS RAID. PEKING, Nov 22. Mr Ledgard, an English missionary, who escaped from bandits (as cabled on Novemlier 16th) has written a letter to a friend here, giving a graphic account of the activities of bandits, who, numbering 30,000 are laying waste a path in the Honan province six miles wide. They are burning every city, town, and farmhouse, and are leaving a trail strewn with dead bodies. They are overcoming the Government troops. The bandits mostly are former soldiers, and they arc well armed and mounted.
