MEN HOTT> MASS MEETING. WELLINGTON, Nov 20. Following the" new development in the situation, there was a meeting of seamen to-day in the Masonic Hall, but whether any decision was arrived at or not the Secretary of the Seamen’s Federation (Mr AY. T. Young) refused to disclose. AVlien .seen during the day, Mr Young said he had nothing to say just then. His reply to the invitation to a discussion on Bishop’s statement was: “There is nothing to say about it what over.” The cooks and stewards held a meeting, but Mr Kennedy, Secretary of the Union, preserved the same attitude of silence as Air Young.
