Ido envy you getting through washing day so quickly and cheerfully, thanks to your economical gas copper. I still use the old stoking copper and what a day I had yesterday. The wood was wet, the coal was wet, and it took no end of stoking to make the water hoil. It was late in the day before T had the clothes on the line, and the shower in the late afternoon spoiled the drying I worked far into the night trying to get the washing away. Had to have a l>ig fire in the kitchen all the evening to dry off the clothes. I showed your note to Jim and T think lie was sympathetic. Anyhow ho said ho would call at IV. H. Shannon’s in Rcvell Street and see what could be done, so I hope to get' through next week’s washing as comfortably ns you do.
