AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION
DE VALERA’S STAND. LONDON, Nov 13. Do Valera has sent a message to the Irish Convention at Glasgow, indicating the rebls are determined to pursue their campaign. He says: “It is better to prevent consummation of wrong than to allow wrong to be completed. No power can compel alle- . ginnee if we refuse to give it. Without Irish aid and. co-operation, not all the resources of England could make the King’s writ run in Ireland! What we cannot wreest hack, of our own from England, she may have. Let her keep it, temporarily. We must not .give her a title to any part that is not hers. She must not make it hers by our own deed.” IRREGULARS COUP. , LONDON. Nov 12. The Dublin rebels are about to attack to effect a coup which will reestablish conditions resembling those prevailing previous to tile truce of 1921. Already a sinister increase in activity is observed. The rebels are apparently strengthened by hold, determined men, fresh from the lighting provinces. There numerical strength in Dublin is unknown. They initiated this week a campaign which reveals a. persistence that is not affected by ieiverses elsewhere. During the 'weekend they partially wrecked, a passengertrain travelling front Dublin to Ballina. Titer were no deaths, hut many were injured. Stations were destroyed and a bridge between Longford and Cava,n was blown up.
