I The death of one of the oldest residents of this district in the person ' of Mrs Martha Foley, took place at her residence, Westbrook on Thursday 1 morning. She had reached the. age of 70 years. She was a native of Tipperarv. Ireland, but * for over of years has been a resident of New Zealand. The greater part of that time, fifty years in. fact, she bad resided at ! Westbrook The late Mrs Foley was a 1 lady of amiable and kindly disposition and was greatly respected. She was ! widely and favourably known as hostess ,of 'the Westbrook accommodation house. She leaves a family of three sons (Patrick, Francis, and Edward) and two daughters (Misses Veronica and Emilv Foley), who will have the sympathy of -many friends in thenbereavement.
