POLLARD’S PICTURES. “A BROKEN DOLL.” TO-NIGHT. An ■ excellent rural comedy drama, with a real old time homespun hero is offered at the Princess Theatre tonight in ‘‘A Broken Doll,” an Alan Dwnn picture/ released through the Associated Producers. In the principle role is Monte Blue, a recognised artist in portraying parts of the sort he has in “A Broken Doll,” that of a plain country hoy, am orphan who woos and wins the sheriff’s pretty daughter. Others in the all-star caste who have prominent roles are Alary Thurman, Les Bates, Jack Riley and little Miss Mary Jane living, who docs very clever work as a little lame girl. The picture was personally directed by Alan Dwnn from a story by Wilbur Hall. Tb is a story of ranch life in California with a lot of fine melo-dramatic incident, good rural “hokum” and pleasing “kid” stuff. It is a clean wholesome picture, that all the family will enjoy. The, supporting pictures in to-night’s display are the latest (dtumont Graphic, a beautiful scenic, and a two-reel Christie comedy “Short and Snappy” featuring- Bobby- Vernon.
