The danger to the Greymouth Jockey Chib’s course at Omoto, from erosion, by the Grey River seems to have been averted, file course of the river has completely changed and is now backing on to the Coal Creek side. In flood time the water behind the racecourse is as calm as a lake, and little or no current operates against the hank. This is fortunate so far as the Omoto course is concerned, but tliero is a likelihood of serious erosiop taking place on the farm land on Coal Creek flat.—“ Argus.”
