Mufti was a moderate third and just beat Sister Olive. The first-ihalf-mile was done in 51 'i secs., the next four furlongs in 53secs.. the succeeding four in 52secs., and the last four in olsecs. The last six furlongs were done in I.l6}secs. The winner is owned by Messrs Dubois, a Central Australian pastoralist, and Bennett, a Adelaide lawyer. Scobie is the trainer. He had previously won with Clean Sweep. Alan Wilson, the rider, stated lie had a. good run, but covered more ground than anything else in the race.
