Subsequently Gordon received a letter, alleged to have been written by the inotlrer of the child, thanking him for taking the blame- and stating that lie was not really the father of it. Tho letter also stated that the girl’s reputed father was not really her parent. On the strength of this Gordon applied for a rehearing with the object of having tho order cancelled, Mr Hay instructed by Mr PodkilD appeared for the mother of the child oil Saturday, and Gordon was represented by Mr Neill.
