A CHALLENGE. 4 ITG-OF-WAR TEA AI from the » Red I /ion wish to challenge any tenm consisting of six-a-sido to be held in Cass S<|titire on SATI ff DA V NOVEAIBER -1 th. AH proceeds to be donated to the Beautifying Association. Stafford Street, Hokitika. Monday Alorning. Dear Airs Youkiiow,. Yon will he surprised to get a letter from me written on Monday morning. “How do I find time to write on washing day?” yon will ask. Well, the answer'is simple. Last week I looked in at Mr Shannon’s in Revell Street, and saw the economic gas copper and also the latest gas cooker. Mr Shannon gave me a demonstration and T was impressed. 1 managed to impress hubby later in the day. with the result that the copper was installed and used to-day for the first time. I had an extra 'wash too. but everything went through so comfortably. There was no delay or lost time. Just a j match to light up in the morning, and lie fore I had time for my early cup of tea the water was boiling, and I was able to go right ahead. Its so economical, too. Air Heinz was passing and he “toob” the 1 meter for me. I bad burned only a j few pennyworth of gas! Just i fancy. I’m in love with that gas cooker now, and if hubby can man- • age it on next month’s pay I shall 1 certainly order one. 1 am sure it j will lie quite worth while for you to look into the matter too. Arv loco to you all. ! Yours faithfully. : AIARY KNOT CONTRARY. FURNITURE DEPOT. PEYELL STREET SOTTTH. HOKITIKA. J ¥ KALL HAS OPENED a General Dealer’s business as above and’ invites support.
