The Fascists also << threaten to march upon Rome, in order ( 0 to give Italy full liberty, and make the King of Italy a king indeed. j Cabinet decreed martial law throughout Italy, but later revoked it, upon j reports that the situation was improving. (Received this clay at 10 a.m.) LONDON, October 28. “We march on Rome in order to give Italy her full liberty,” declares tho text of a Bill being distributed by Die Fascisti in Pisa and other cities, among the officers, soldiers and citizens. It continues—“ The Fascisti movement is neither against country nor King. AVe want His Majesty to he really King of Italy, and desire that he should not submit himself to State reasons which are imposed upon him in a cowardly, manner by the present weak ministers. We march on to Rome to give the Italian people such an ItaTy as was dreamed of by the five hundred thousand dead in the Great War and by our own dead who continued l!De war during peace. We are marching with the sincere desire for peace and love. Our greatest shout shall always he “Long Live the Army, King and Italy.” It is officially announced that Signor Facta waited on the King and presented the resignation of the Cabinet. THE REASON WHY. ROME. October 28. The explanation of the rescission of martial law is afforded by a newspaper statement that the King refused to sign the decree. Cabinet is still sitting. All was quiet here at dusk, but the authorities stopped the trains as a pieeautionary measure. though other traffic is running.
