Arthur's Pass Tunuel
TO BE OPENED NEXT EASTER. Speaking on the Public Works Statement in the House of Representatives on Friday afternoon, the Prime Minister said that he hoped that the Arthur’s Pass tunnel would lit* opened tor railway traffic about Easter of the comma year. (Hear. hear). That was m spito of the loss of a portion of tlio electrical equipment for the tunnel, as a result of the wreck of the W iltshire.
