Produce Disposal.

AUCKLAND. Oct 15. The marketing of New Zealand products in Britain was briefly commented on yesterday by J. Boddie, chairman of directors of the tarmors' Union Trading Company, who returned by the Niagara after a, tour of Britain, and Northern Europe and America. Mr Boddie said he found ther was a great deal to learn on the subject. It- was only when one realised how little the average New Zealand farmer really did know on the vital subject of produce disposal. Air Boddie found Mr J. S. .Josscip of the New Zealand .Meat Pool Board in London actively engaged in collecting information for the iBo-ard. Prom what bo gathered from all sources. Mr Boddie said he was convinced that, given time and the loyal support of Dominion producers, tho establishment of the Meat Board would mark a great forward movement in tiny frozen meat industry. It was surprising to him to find that tho establishment of the Board find created more interest in New Zealand not only in England, hut in other countries than iK'ifiaps anything that had occurred for many yesars. It certainly had provided an unlookcd-ior, fmt much-needed. acl\citisement for New Zealand produce of all kinds. Referring to matters connected with the dairying industry in Denmark, Air Boddie expressed the opinion that New Zealand had nothing to learii from the Danes in regard to dairying methods or hotter manufacture. Ho was confident that New Zealand flutter was second to nolle in quality. What impressed him in Denmark was tho thoroughness of their co-operative system. This, in his opinion. gave them tromemhyis strength compared with New Zealand, whore, unfortunately, a good many co-operative companies of all sorts were in active competition. During his tour, said Air Boddie, ho had collected a considerable volume of valuable information relating to farmers’ co-operative enterprises in other lands, which he lio|>ed would lie found helpful to farmers of the Dominion.
