CONFESSION BY ALLAWAY. Allaway told his wile that he had made no statement, which was true, an I that he did not intend to do so: hit at twenty minutes to eight (the hour of the execution) on Saturday morning he made the confession of his guilt in the words quoted above. The murder was committed at Itoril, near Bournemouth, eii December 22. .Miss Wilkins having been lured to I’nuiimmonth by a telegram.

LADY GRANARIES LOSS. PARIS, Aug. 23 For the second time the Countess of Granard has lost a jewelled pin which was a gift to her from Princess Mary when she stayed at the Earl of Granart's house in Paris on her honeymoon. Tt was first lost, says the New York Herald, (European edition), on A. ix-les-Bains golf links, hut was found and restored to its owner by a caddie. The pin has now disappeared again, and l.adv Granard has had to return In Paris without it.
