The body of the man iouucl at Cape Poll 1 wind a few days ago lias been identified as that of John Thompson, who. has worked as a miner for the Westport Coal Company at Burnett’s Face. He came to Westport on September 25, and spent a day or two about town, stating it was bis intention to go back to Burnett s Pace on the Friday or Saturday. So far as is known lie was not soon thereafter. He was 35 years old, and a native of Loch Garry Forfarshire, Scotland.

After a preliminary discussion and drawing up an agenda paper, the meeting adjourned till next Friday night at Greymouth, .when northern clubs are expected to be represented, and tbe matters to be considered will be finally dealt with.
