POLLARD’S PICTURES. “PILGRIMS OF THE NIGHT.” MONDAY. An adaptation of one of E. Phillips Oppetiheim’s clever mystery stories is the attraction at the Princess Theatre on Monday. The cast is a most notable one and includes Lewis S. Stone, Ruby de Remer, William V. Mong, Walter McGrail and others. This picture entitled “Pilgrims of the Night” concerns a group of crooks who have for their leader an exceptionally clever thief known as “The Rlack Fox”. The latter presides over a fashionable gambling palace which is raided by the police when they loam that in the possession of the crooks is a lingo sum of money stolen from the French subtreasury. “The Black Fox” is captured but others escape. The Rot isn’t recovered until an amateur detective traces down the escaped criminals—one of whom is the hunch back, Ambrose. The latter has taken the chief’s daugh ter with him in order to execute vengeance upon Lord Ellingham. The titled Englishman i s the real fathor of the girl and eventually they are reunited. The picture flashes consider able action and a wealth of suspense.

The supports include a two-reel comedy “Hallroom Boy,” and further chapters of the serial “Thunderbolt Jack.”
