STREET ACCIDENTS.

AT'OTCT.ANT). Oct 8. Numerous accidents occurred in the City yesterday.

AH' William John MacDermott. Secretary to the Auckland Alliance, reeeivel serious injuries through being knocked down.-by a tram. It is stated that MacDermott was proceeding along Queen Street, when the wind lifted his hat across the street, lie ran out to recover it. Not noticing the tram car, he ran right into it. Mr MacDermott sustained severe injuries to tho head and is still unconscious.

Air Thomas McFadden. n«ed 45, was knocked down by a motor in the city, and was slightly injured. . . Air Charles Guthrie, wliilei driving a. team, collided with a motor bus, and lie sustained severe cuts.
