lHic Chairman of the Voluntary Wheat Pool has announced that last season’s pool will be cleared up by the end of the year, when a further payment of eiglitpence per bushel will he jn;ide to the farmers, making a total amount distributed by the pool of over oj millions sterling.

The coal miners have filed an affidavit with the Coal Tribunal requesting it to call a compulsory conference with the owners, with reference to fhc log deficiency, and pillar question. A conference between miners and proprietors on the question ol installing electric safety lambs has commenced.
BRIBERY PENALTY. BRISBANE, Octol/er 6. Sicilian and Connolly have lodged appeals against tho sentences imposed on them in their recent bribery case.
