AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. j. NEW GREEK CABINET. 1 ATHENS, .. Oct 1. The first act of the new Cabinet was to request revolutionaries to suspend their miltiary committee. Cabinet promising in return to reconstitute the Army and take steps to defend Thrace. The revolutionary committee congratulating the King, said he ascended the Throne at a moment when the country was divided, but the country would overcome the faults of the apast and defend the interests of tho nation with a view to realising the aspirations of the people. Other members of the Cabinet are: Zavitzanos (Treasury), George Rlialli.s (Post and Telegraph), Christomano'i (Agriculture).

The new King George, repaying to the Revolutionary Committee, congratulated them on tho success of their movement. lie expressed the conviction that their objects were absolutely sincere and would result brilliantly for the national cause. Constantine would not attempt to recover the throne. Ffe (the King) considered the change cf the Crown was definite and irrevo-ahle, and Constantine shared that opinion.

Tlmre were emotional scenes at te quay at Oropus, where Kino George hade farewell to his parents.

Before leaving for Sicily on Saturday with his wife and brothers, exKing Constantino asked the revolutionary committee for a written declaration that his departure from Greece would he temporary. This was refused. The Committee granted him five thousand pounds for expenses of the journey.
GREEK POLITICS. (Received this day at 1.5 p.m). ATHENS. Oct 2. M Politis refused the portfolio of Foreign Affairs, expressing; th« opinion that the new Cabinet should be colourless. Diomedes refused the Einaneo .Ministry for a similar reason. It has been decided to send Greek politicians recently arrested by the revolutionary committee and committed to an island to he selected by themselves pending trial.
